Total Time Requirements
- 100 hours in powered aircraft (at least 50 of which must be in airplanes)
- 100 hours PIC
- 20 hours of flight training
- 10 hours solo PIC or performing the duties of PIC
100 Hours PIC Requirements
Pilot in Command Experience
- 50 hours must be in airplanes
- 50 hours cross-country (at least 10 of which must be in airplanes)
20 Hours Flight Training (FAR 61.127 Operations)
Instrument & Complex Aircraft
- 10 hours using a view-limiting device
- 10 hours in a complex, turbine, or technically advanced airplane
Cross-Country Training
- 2-hour day cross-country (> 100 nm)
- 2-hour night cross-country (> 100 nm)
Checkride Preparation
- 3 hours in preparation for the practical test
10 Hours Solo PIC / Acting PIC
Solo Requirements
- Cross-country ≥ 300 nm with landings at a minimum of 3 points
- Straight-line distance of 250 nm between points
- 5 hours night VFR with 10 takeoffs and landings at a towered airport
